On Thursday, November 11, 2010 the QUSL Veteran's Advocacy Group hosted their first annual Veteran's Day event. Organized by Brian Gregorio and Julie Broder, the event featured Rory Riley, (QUSL '07), currently a clerk at the U.S. Veterans' Court of Appeals. Her presentation covered the VA claims process and career opportunities in this expanding field. Senator-Elect Richard Blumenthal was also in attendance at the event.
The event was a huge success, receiving significant recognition from individuals throughout the Connecticut legal community.
The Veteran's Advocacy Group would like to send a special thank you to Dean Kathy Kuhar and Diane Bryant for the extensive amount of time and effort they put into making this event a success.
