Family & Juvenile Law Society Toy Drive


The Family & Juvenile Law Society will be running an Outdoor Spring Toy Drive for The Children's Center of Hamden. Please donate any toy or activity that kids can use in the upcoming spring and summer months outside. We ask that the toys be new or gently used.  We will be collecting toys starting Monday April 4th through 4:00pm on Friday April 8th.  Please contact Brianna Kastukevich [brianna.kastukevich@quinnipiac.edu] with any questions.

Student Organization Public Service Requirement Packets Have Been Issued

The 2011 student organization Public Service Requirement Packets have been issued.  The completed packets are due by 11:59 PM on Saturday, April 9, 2011.  Packets should be submitted via email to the Public Service Committee Chairperson, Kelly Obermeier [kelly.obermeier@quinnipiac.edu].  The subject of the email should state “2011 Substantial Public Service Project Packet – [student organization name]." 
 
Packets were emailed to the student organization presidents and treasurers, and the document is available on the SBA website under useful SBA Docs.

ABA Amendments to Standards and Rules of Procedure for Approval of Law Schools and to Statement of Ethical Practices


Amendments to Standard 509 Basic Consumer Information; Rule 10 Appeal of an Adverse Decision of the Council; Rule 22 Teach Out Plan and Agreement and Closure of a Law School; and Rule 24 Complaints Concerning Law School Non-Compliance with the Standards; Statement of Ethical Practices in the Process of Law School Accreditation

At its meeting on February 14, 2011, the ABA House of Delegates concurred in changes to the ABA Standards and Rules of Procedure for Approval of Law Schools. The changes became effective immediately.

At its meeting on March 11, 2011, the Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar approved changes to the Statement of Ethical Practices in the Process of Law School Accreditation. The changes became effective immediately.
